Piata, this has been a very brave post and I would like to be the first to acknowledge this. You are doing amazing work, both personally and in supporting other mums to find the self-compassion which, as you rightly say, is at the heart of all healing after trauma. I am proud to call you my Substack friend 🤗

I especially appreciate the link between healing and writing - storying through our pain and lived embodied experiences, of what we've lived through - I think --has the effect of both helping us and being of service to others along the way. <3 Keep writing.

Oooh this is deep! So vulnerable. Thank you for sharing, and thinking so carefully. And thank you for writing.

Thank you, Rachel. Your feedback is much appreciated.

It summarises decades of reflection with my combined work and lived experience. I feel I need to share even though it leaves me feeling nauseous with vulnerability. Do you think that sharing challenging stuff is your calling too? ❤️‍🩹

I definitely feel that need to share. At the same time as feeling very complicated about the vulnerability. But I'm addicted to authenticity. Others, and my own. That's how I currently understand it.
